TCS Education System is a nonprofit system of colleges advancing student success and community impact. Today, they count five colleges among their ranks and the System fulfills the aspirations of nearly 7,000 students across 11 separate campus locations. Founded in 2009 on the fundamental belief that collaboration allows us all to “grow better together,” they operate with the shared purpose of preparing innovative, engaged, and purposeful agents of change to serve our global community.
TCS Education System’s traditional EndPoint Security solution was effective, however, with the online threat landscape rapidly changing, they were looking for a new approach to prevent and remedy modern sophisticated attacks. With ransomware and zero-day attacks on the rise, they wanted a Next Generation solution to improve security for their endpoints, datacenter, and the cloud.
TCS Education System was looking for comprehensive end point protection that would be effective today, and in the future, as the landscape of threats continues to evolve.
ScholarBuys worked with the TCS team to evaluate a number of behavior-based solutions, and they were quickly impressed with SentinelOne. Leveraging machine learning and automation, SentinelOne’s Next Generation Endpoint Protection tackles the entire lifecycle of a threat – from prevention to detection to remediation. The Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) rests on a single lightweight agent, with their endpoints and servers all managed through one central console. With automated and policy-based response capabilities, advanced threats are quickly detected and eliminated. Using advanced machine learning, data analysis and AI, new attack methodologies are now identified at machine speed. After conducting a proof of concept, TCS Education System decided to move forward with SentinelOne’s NGEP for their environment.
Rich and his team have been very happy with their move. Due to SentinelOne’s ease of deployment, TCS was able to get up and running very quickly. With a signature-less solution in place, they no longer need to rely on daily or weekly updates and scans. The platform’s easy-to-use management console provides Information Technology with valuable insight and reporting around their endpoint environment. This gives TCS full visibility and forensics in real-time; identifying where threats are coming from and what they tried to do.
