On February 22nd Darren Shahinian started his travel to Georgia to meet with members of the Georgia Independent College Association (GICA) and introduce himself as the new ScholarBuys Account Manager for that territory. During his trip Darren was able to review renewals or existing agreements and discuss other areas of opportunity for technology.

“I wanted to get schools talking about their technology environments and what is on their roadmap.”

It’s all about collaboration: GICA currently has two collaborative technology agreements with Microsoft EES and Adobe ETLA. As a part of GICA, many of the institutions are already active participants in these agreements, while others are showing interest. In addition to these agreements, Darren discussed many other kinds of technologies for the schools including VMware, security/anti-virus software, and backup/disaster recovery solutions.
