Existing Tools
Existing tools that work on Surface products for management and deployment with Windows 10 include System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager, and System Center Configuration Manager Version 1511. The System Center Configuration Manager 2007 is supported for Windows 10 Management and the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2013 supports Windows 10 Deployment.
Easier Deployment
To make deployment easier, Microsoft released a Deployment and Administration Guide, along with reference volume licensing images for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
Optimizing Battery Life for Surface
- Adjust screen brightness to 50% or lower
- If a custom image is applied, re-enable Hibernate
- Disable Wi-Fi if you don’t need email/live tiles
