ScholarBuys moved to our Carpentersville Office in November of 2012. The office is located on the OTTO engineering campus downtown by the Fox River. OTTO moved into the old Star Manufacturing Building in 1968 and refurbished the buildings, creating a picturesque entrance to the town. As ScholarBuys was growing out of its previous office, the beautiful location could not be beat. A flagpole on top of the building is the identifying marker for our office building.
Two groups of desks in the room seat the K-12 team and the HiEd team. This open flow in the office allows for open communication so our team can listen and learn from each other. This open layout was formed to strengthen our teamwork environment that fostered communication and collaboration that was quicker and easier than a traditional cubicle layout.
We also have areas in the office to enjoy games like bags, basketball, or shuffleboard! Cody thinks we could use a trampoline….maybe that’ll help propel him to more slam dunks! We also have a spacious conference room for meetings or potluck gatherings and a couch area for our team meetings. Our office is rustic, comfortable, and fosters a team environment.
