From April 18th to the 22nd, Darren Shahinian was on the road again to visit schools on campus to discuss their technology needs. He met with 17 schools that are members of the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU) consortium to discuss the upcoming Microsoft EES renewal.
Technology
Darren became the sales representative for SCICU at the beginning of this year and manages licensing like the consortia’s EES agreement. It was a great opportunity to meet for the first time with IT leadership on campus and go over the renewals. Other topics of discussion included Adobe, endpoint security solutions, virtualization solutions, wireless and network infrastructure, and hardware. Darren made sure the schools were aware of any updates and that they are utilizing their technology to match the needs of the campus.
Benefiting the Institution
Many Microsoft technologies are being made available at no cost for academic institutions. Making sure our customers have a good understanding of the technology that is available to them through partnership with Microsoft has helped them best leverage their investment, and provided a more robust set of tools for not only IT, but educators and students as well.
