VLSC Experiences Moving to Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Applies to (but not limited to) the following Microsoft volume licensing programs for Education: EES, OVS-ES

Microsoft has recently announced a change involving the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) portal.

Effective April 2023, Microsoft will begin re-directing customers from the VLSC to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC) for the following features:

• Downloads & Keys
• License Summary
• Relationship Summary

The same account that you utilize today for the VLSC should work when signing in to the M365 Admin Center. Your Volume Licensing information (downloads and keys, licensing information) can be accessed from: Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC) Billing–>Your products–>Volume licensing

VLSC users selecting the Downloads and Keys, License Summary, or License Relationship Summary features in the VLSC will be automatically redirected to M365 Admin Center.

Microsoft is transitioning volume licensing capabilities to M365 Admin Center to enable customers to manage on-premises software, on-line services, and subscriptions in one site accessed by a single Log in ID.

Select administrative actions such as Add/Manage Users and Assign Permissions will remain in the VLSC portal at this time. Work continues to transition these functions to the M365 Admin Center over time.
