VMWare updates come with a great promotion!
VMWare is consolidating their vSphere portfolio to simplify their different suite offerings and better lead customers towards the Software Defined Datacenter and Hybrid Cloud. vSphere Enterprise and vSphere with Operations Management (vSOM) Enterprise are no longer being offered, though current customers licensed for these products will still be able to renew their maintenance/support through 2020.
There are now only three options:
- vSphere Standard
- vSphere Enterprise Plus
- vSOM Enterprise Plus
To assist in the transition, VMware has released promotions for existing Enterprise customers to upgrade their licensing to Enterprise Plus for 50% off.
Through 12/26/2016 certain upgrades are available for this 50% via promotional SKU.
