Here at ScholarBuys, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of technology in education. In 2008 we started providing software to higher education through group purchasing. This strengthened the buying power of consortia to help them get more for their budget. Beyond that, we became an extension of their IT staff, acting as a bridge between the customer and manufacturers to provide key information about new products, product updates, and support issues. Since our beginnings we have not only expanded our software offerings to higher education, but opened up our expertise to K-12 and hardware technology.

In 2015, Chromebooks overtook the education device category from MacBooks and iPads for the first time ever. ScholarBuys was quick to recognize this trend and expanded our knowledge to meet this demand. For the past two years our company has seen enormous growth. Part of this growth is due to our expansion into Chromebooks and offering more for K-12 schools. We are continuing this pattern and staying on top of the trends. In 2016 and 2017 we expanded our offerings again to meet the STEM/STEAM demands growing in education. These offerings include 3D printing, coding products, and Virtual Reality. The other part of this growth has been continuing to expand our reach and offerings for higher education to include hardware like Microsoft surface.

Another expansion in 2017 was the introduction of our ecommerce platform, Shop.ScholarBuys.com. This platform is built for educational technology purchases. At Shop.ScholarBuys customers can find popular K-12 products on demand so they waste no time getting the products to their students. Our product offerings include a wide variety of Chromebook and accessories as well as Chromeboxes and Virtual Reality.

ScholarBuys is a great resource for leading information on K-12 and Higher Education technology. We take in depth looks at Chromebooks on our YouTube channel and on our blog to help institutions make the right selection for their students. Our blog also takes an in depth look at trends for Higher Education and how we have provided exceptional service to academic consortia through group purchasing. We hand select products that are going to perform the best for education and provide a service that can’t be found anywhere else. We cater exclusively to the academic market so we truly are the experts.
