Here at ScholarBuys we stay up to date on all the latest Chromebook news. We want to keep our customers as informed as possible when it comes to Chromebooks. That’s why we want to let you know that the Lenovo N23 Chromebook now has Android App support in the stable channel! The same apps that you have access to on a phone or tablet are now available on Chromebooks. The Lenovo N23 isn’t the only Lenovo Chromebook that now supports Android Apps either, some of our other favorites support them as well. Check out Android Apps on your N42 Chromebook, N22 Chromebook, or the N23 Yoga Chromebook! While all of the great Lenovo Chromebooks now have access to Android Apps, the N23 Yoga Chromebook was designed for the Google Play Store. With its MediaTek MTK 8173c processor, the N23 Yoga Chromebook allows a student to make the best use of multitouch interaction with educational apps.

While the Lenovo Chromebooks tend to be our most recommended, Android App support is also available in the stable channel on some other Chromebooks that we recommend:

  • HP Chromebook 11 G5 EE
  • HP Chromebook x360 11 G1 EE
  • Acer Chromebook 11 N7
  • Acer Chromebook R 13
  • Asus Chromebook C202SA
  • Asus Chromebook Flip
  • Dell Chromebook 11

The Google Play Store has a section just for Educational Apps. In this section you can find popular edu apps like Khan Academy and Quizlet. Educational apps can teach a variety of subjects from foreign languages to math and many of them are free to use. There are also helpful apps for students like homework planners, or apps that help with spelling and listening for students who may struggle. Read our past blog post to learn more about how one school used Google Apps to enhance learning in their classroom.

With Android App support available, Chromebooks now seem to be an ultimate classroom tool. If you have one of the Chromebooks mentioned, go check out the wide selection of free education apps available to you! If your school does not have Chromebooks, or does not have one that was mentioned, do not panic. Android App support may be rolling out to your device soon, but if you cannot wait let us know. We would be more than happy to assist you with picking out the best Chromebook for your school.
