Michael Heap earned the title of Sales Champ for January 2017. In this post, Michael shares how he made it happen and news from the ScholarBuys office!
January started off with a bang. I was able to finalize a lease opportunity with a new customer in Florida that was 8 months in the making. I worked closely with this Charter school on their move to 1:1 with Chromebooks and Charging Carts. I helped them decide on the Lenovo Chromebook and the Lock n Charge Joey 30 Charging Carts. We are now working on adding Professional Development in the near future to successfully roll out the Chromebooks. Office Happenings In the month of January we had a few vendor visits in the office. We had a meet and greet that including lunch with our new outside Lenovo Channel Rep, a breakfast and learn with our rep from Bretford and a visit with our Adobe Channel Rep. It’s always a pleasure meeting with reps that we work with face to face.Â
New Team Member
January also brought a new Employee to the ScholarBuys team. We are happy to welcome Keegan Morgan to the Operations team. He says he is currently a St. Louis Cardinals fan, but we will see how long that lasts until we convert him to a true Chicago fan.

New Technology
The beginning of the year always brings announcements of new technology to the education market. We are looking forward to the new Chromebook releases by Lenovo, especially the N23 Yoga which is due in early April. Rumor has it ALL new released Chromebooks in 2017 will have instant access to the Google Play store which will allow schools access to all Android apps.
